The final moments of Moneyshot: The Pornhub Story bring us back to the central conflict of the documentary. First we are left with a poignant and pivotal comment from content creator Gwen Adora— while she does “agree that Pornhub did not do a good enough job of helping those victims, the illegal content exists on every website. So if we are saying that all the websites should go down, that’s not stopping the videos from happening. That’s not fixing the issues.” She warns us that taking down Pornhub, or any other tube site, won’t actually do anything to stop abuse. This content will continue to be posted on the next site, and the next, and taking down tube sites does nothing to solve the issue of abuse happening in the first place.
