PENELOPE DARIO in CONVERSATION with AMANDA LEPORE

Amanda Lepore is more than a living legend—she’s a work of art, a New York City icon, and the blueprint for a certain kind of glamour that refuses to stay quiet.

With a voice like a silk slip and a nature-defying silhouette, she’s made a career out of transformation—hers and ours. From Warhol’s Factory to the Club Kids’ catwalk to the pages of French Playboy, Lepore has turned her life into a canvas of excess, artifice, and exquisite control. Amanda opens up about the art of beauty, the politics of plastic, and what it means to live as a self-made fantasy. While some say embracing evolution is the key to career longevity, this starlet doesn’t follow trends, she bends the rules of space and time to fit her crystal studded hourglass.

PETIT MORT (Penelope Dario)

Coming from the club kid Limelight days to the featured hosting and being the New York royalty that you are now. I'm sure its been a wild ride, and how have you seen the scene change over the years?

AMANDA LEPORE

Well, I really love nightlife because they really celebrate you for being different and unique. I love dressing up, and I love people that dress up, you know?

Was that always something you enjoyed?

I’m gay, so yeah. Gay people love putting stuff on. I love gay clubs.

And they love you.
