Astrophysicists say that as the universe expands it pulls galaxies further apart. It makes me wonder if these gravitational forces apply to our social species. As our perception of connectivity grows, are we expanding away from one another?

The illusion of digital proximity is the new opiate of the masses.

A part of us wants to believe that when you stare into the void it will be like Narcissus’ pool, that something might glimmer back to us like a beacon in the vacuum. Yet the only thing you will find in the vast expanse of loneliness is your way back towards something tangible.
