Winter is a time of stillness, and silence. In many cultures it is associated with death, and here in the Northern Hemisphere that death is also literal as the temperatures drop, plants die back, and animals move into hibernation for the cold months. These days are a fruitful time to introspect on the seasons behind us, and all the ways our lives have shifted and transformed throughout the year. Death has been all around us lately as we have been witnessing a genocide, ongoing climate crisis, and the crumbling of global empires as Pluto (the planet that symbolizes death and transformation) makes its transit into the idealistic and expansive Aquarius.
