Little Devils Poetry Workshop

Little Devils is a four-week poetry workshop on troublemaking led by Madison Murray, author of My Gaping Masshole and Editorial Director of Petit Mort. This class is for rule-breakers, pot-stirrers, drama queens, and poky little puppies itching to wreak havoc with form and curated chaos.

Each week, participants will draft, revise, disrupt, workshop, and re-revise a single poem, taking inspiration from required readings, historical events, reality TV, and our own crazy stories. We’ll experiment with visual prompts, found images, and everyday scenes, asking: what happens before the trouble? during it? after? How can our language fuck with itself and with the reader? The workshop centers play, risk, and collective feedback, with guidance on how to workshop in a group setting.

All in-class poems will be published in a collaborative zine. A reading of all contributors’ poems will be held in NYC. Come ready to make a big mess, little devil.
